How's the BF2MC dedicated server files discussion with EA going? So far it seems like they're ignoring you completely (one thread is a dead link, and the other shows nothing).
I wanna play the game so bad it's crazy. I'd be ready to host a server if only we'd have the files.
btw I have some programming skills so i'm wondering if i can help

Re: new dns for gameplay 63.239.170.150
Well i have given up on contacting ea. There is now about 4 of us trying various things to bring it back.
The way we are doing thing is:
Set up a bf2 pc dedicated server.
Fire it to this new dns
The guy in charge of this dns then fires it to the ps2 game.
It shows up in game
We try and connect
We get a error message saying servers are unavailable try again later.
After some analysis, we now know exactly what the issue is.
A thing called natneg which connects the player to gamespy and gamespy to the player, is requested by the ps2 but the pc dedicated server does not contain it.
So we either need to somehow add natneg to the current dedi, or make our own dedicated server from scratch.
And yes, your help would be most welcome, as if you have programing skills, do you think you could maybe add natneg?

Just a quick note having given up all hope. Someone was able to get a game running on openspy and I will get Ron to try the same technique on his server
