Picked this game up recently and thought it was interesting that it is not listed on any PS2 online game list anywhere. The game currently goes for $0.99 used at GameStop if anyone would like to give it a shot.

Are there any other PS2 online games out there that seem to have gone completely under the radar?

World Championship Cards for PlayStation 2 and PSP features over 30 different varieties of classic card games including Bridge, Gin Rummy, Solitaire, Cribbage, Hearts, Spades, Crazy 8's and more! Extensive multiplayer features allow players to compete online or wirelessly against others in the same room.

"With the phenomenal success of the World Championship Poker titles, the World Championship brand has become recognized for high quality," commented Sheri Snow, Director of Marketing for Crave Entertainment. "Players will know they can expect the same standard gameplay and features in this collection that they find in the poker titles."

World Championship Cards includes a robust create-a-character mode that allows variations of personalities, skin tone, hair, clothing and hats to choose from. Powerful multiplayer capabilities allow up to 8 players to challenge others online, with PlayStation 2 and PSP system users able to play against each other. World Championship Cards for PSP system features 8 player wireless Ad Hoc play, and will also support the EyeToy USB Camera and USB Headset for PlayStation 2.

The game is expected to an MSRP of $14.99 for PlayStation 2 and $19.99 for the PSP system.

Nice find. I'd never heard of this game. It came out rather late in the ps2 online timeline too, in 2008 so it's probably why a lot of people missed it. Since it was a budget title too I am sure that made it even easier for people to miss. I'll definitely buy a copy out of curiosity to see if it's still online. I see they have it on amazon for pretty cheap. I'll update the ps2 online list on it's online status once I test it out.

Well I got this game today and sadly it appears as if it is offline. I am able to get past the DNAS check and it tries to create a new multiplayer account for me with the game, but immediately throws me to an error message and disconnects me. It says:

"There has been a network error and you have been disconnected from the network. Please check all connections and try again..."

I spent 4.25 total so not a huge loss, although I am a bit disappointed this appears to be offline. It has usb headset support, usb keyboard support, and eyetoy support. The online mode also worked with psp online players too. Mytho tried connecting on the psp version and got the same error I got on the ps2 version.

The create a character in this game is pretty hilarious as well. It has a lot of ridiculous outfits and costumes like samurais and skeletons. Seems like this would have been a stupidly fun game to mess around in online occasionally.

I also sent an email to the publisher of the game to try to get a confirmation that this game is offline. For now in the online games list I added the game and just wrote that it appears to be offline: http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/vi ... ?f=29&t=17

I didn't see anything relating to Gamespy when I tried the PSP version out. Is there a Gamespy logo or anything pertaining to Gamespy on the PS2 version, lazy?

Nope not in the manual or on the box.
