PS2 Online Gaming

Mar 8, 2011 is when this game came out and the game has an online mode. I am very surprised that any new ps2 game would have an online mode. I wonder if this will be the last new release on ps2 to include an online multiplayer?

Masqued warrior just informed me that he saw this game in a store and the box says it has an online mode. I looked on gamespot and the box art there shows it has online.

To be 100 percent sure I went to the game's official site where they confirm the playstation 2 version of the game does indeed include online multiplayer.

I think your prediction that it will be the last PS2 game to have online multiplayer will prove to be true.

As a side not, I'm guessing the last [commercial] PS2 game, period will be Madden NFL 2012.

It is too bad that MLB 11 The Show does not have online play. I can't bring myself to buy a PS3, so I guess I will have to continue to play solo.

I also saw the box art for this game sporting the online logo. I thought this was a mistake, but it looks like this is real. Wonder how long this game will stay online. Maybe a year, if we're lucky?

It's cool to see an online game for the PS2 in 2011, but it's unfortunate the subject matter of the game is so boring. It's pretty safe to say that this will be the last online game for the PS2.

If it was an arcade game like MLB Slugfest, then I wouldn't have much of a problem with it. The MLB 2K games are baseball simulators that personally, I don't really care for. The games strive too hard for realism to really interest me.

Of course they strive for realism. Thats the point of the game.
