Is BF2:MC still alive?

I'm a big fan of Battlefield 2 Modern Combat. That game has a special place in my heart. Unfortunately, the disc disapeared five four years ago when my family moved, and I haven't played since then. I know that the servers are still up. I want to buy a PS2 (sold my old one) and BF2:MC . Are there still people playing it? Do you know of any active clans? How's the status down there? I have so many amazing memories of this game, and to think that I haven't even tried a quarter of the online maps is mind-blowing! So many hours of online fun!

From the link above all servers report recent activity of "over a day ago"
Seems bad, but not unexpected.

I just played a game within 18 people in it and there were about 3 other games with 5 to 10 people it is still very active

My my! That's not very far off from what it was 4 years ago! I can remember 2-3 full servers at all times with a dozen or so with 5-10 people. I'll try to buy all I need to play as soon as possible.

The game is still up, but account creation went down awhile back. If you follow this guide you can still make a new account though:

Well I have everything: a modded fat ps2, a network adapter, proper network setup, a dnas patched bf2:mc, and it all works until I reach the terms and agreements part in account creation. I've followed the guide and did set the DNS servers, but bobzent seems offline. If anyone would be kind enough to lend me an account or create one if you have access to account creation, that would be great.

Wow thanks! Whoever will use it though, don't forget to logg off when you're not using it! JimMeister confirmed that the account creation servers are down yet once more. I have a feeling we won't see them again soon. Cheers.
