Burnout Revenge's online servers back up; Resurrected by EA?

Thought this was relevant because of how rare it is for EA to resurrect a previously shut down online game.
Despite its online services being 'officially' retired by EA on April 13, 2012, for some unknown reason, Burnout Revenge (for Xbox 360)'s online services have been restored (as of the beginning of May 2012). While there is no word on how long it will remain online, EA still lists Burnout Revenge as a previously shut down online game on their Online Service Updates website.

Someone should attempt to connect online with the PS2 version of Burnout Revenge just to see if for some miraculous reason its online mode has been brought back as well. The Save Burnout Revenge group on Facebook (now disbanded) emailed Alex when their servers came back online and they got this response:
Hello,
God moves in mysterious ways!
Enjoy the gameā¦.again!
Peace and love,
