I wasnt around yesterday to play. I have this game and would like to try it again sometime. Only thing is the multiplayer is team-based, so really it wouldn't be all that fun unless we had 4 people.

A decent amount of people at the site own the game: So maybe it would be possible to get a 4 player game going sometime.

I just found out what ghtp is. Has anyone hosted it successfully yet, with other players, and what dns address are you using?

Yeah, it's still online and works fine. No DNS forwarding necessary! 8-)

i thought all ps2 games need a dns address or lan tunneling in order to work anymore

so i can just go find the game and not use a specific dns address and I'm in

i find that hard to believe
then how do you host successfully
you just go host?

can you host with bots?

Well keep in mind its just a paintball game lol. Its basically a tactical first person shooter where you use the cover in the arena to take out the other team. There is stuff like ctf and elimination. Back when I bought the game I played the singleplayer for a hour or 2 and actually thought it was pretty fun. The online mode is team based and is 2 versus 2 at least. Not sure what the max player count can be. I'd say if you find it for very cheap it'd be worth picking up. I can't promise you'll like it though heh. Just the fact that it's still online normally and has a LAN mode (meaning it can be LAN tunneled later) made me try it out.

There are a good amount of still normally online ps2 games that dont require you to plug in a different dns address for fan-made or resurrected servers or master lists. (http://www.ps2onlinegaming.com/forum/vi ... ?f=29&t=17) Although, a good amount of ps2 online games require some ports to be open to your ps2's IP address if you are hosting through a router.

I dont think there are any bots online in GHTP. Most ps2 games don't have online bots.

i know the basics of paintball
I've played a lot in my time and am very aggressive
got trophies and stuff

I might have to seek this game out, if it's as cheap as you say

I do remember when this game first came out, it dropped in price relatively fast so i thought it wouldn't be good
