I reckon this method is easier then Xlink KAI.

Worked for me without the Network Access Disc. Everything can be configured in THPS3 itself which is excellent.

Yea that can be easier than xlink in some ways, but to host you have forward ports still.
I see you are from Australia though. I am pretty this game is not cross region compatible between PAL and NTSC users. Hopefully some other PAL users can join you if that is the case.
Yea thps3 has its own online setup thing built in that is different than newer ps2 online games. If you are ever wondering what other games have a network setup utility that can substitute for the original network adapter setup disc you can find that here:

Incorrect. It works cross platform with NTSC and PAL.
I dont think you need ports open to host. I needed then open to actually join

No you need them to host. The manual says:
In order to host, or serve, a Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 game from behind a router with NAT (Network Address Translation), or a firewall, you may need to enable port forwarding. You will need to route or forward all data on port 5150 or 5151 UDP (User Datagram Protocol) to the IP address signed to your ps2.
Page 16 of the NTSC manual BTW. Not sure if PAL would be different.

Nope. Not different at all...
All the same when it comes to networking...

Are we playing on Xlink KAI or on THPS.US?
THPS.US is easier for me as I have it setup already...

I cannot gurantet that I can make it but I will try.
Would make more sense to use a tony hawk server then xlink kai since its a bit easier to setup.

Just enter the DNS address and your good to go...

Tony Hawk servers. If I'm not there right at 11:30, does someone want to set up a server awhile? I may be a few minutes late.
