tried to use the cod3 code with one of the mastercodes (the 3rd one) from gamehacking via ps2rd via opl but it fails with the damn 613 error. what am i doing wrong??

My question May sound stupid but why do you need a bypass code for Cod 3 Us version?
Normaly Dnas packet were capture for this game and this version according to the list.

Check the mastercode you're using. I verified the COD3 bypass to work with the current server via PCSX2.

Dunno if it's too much, but since there was already a Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistance DNAS Bypass code, I wanted to request some DNAS bypass codes for some games. You're free to make only one region version, or if you feel like to, make both.

I'm more interested in creating codes for whichever version is more popular.
