The map that looks like it has volcanoes is firestorm and there's no hunters on that map, i don't think you've played hunters yet.
unless... hmmm, there is a crazy map that is only for hunters and it seems like you're fighting in a big crater
but the map called Sundried is the best way to learn hunters, everything is open
Target lock on won't help you a single bit, in fact i think it's always on even when off, it sucks

Hunters is a death match based game, when you kill someone they drop a flag and you go pick them up and once you have a couple flags you hang them for points in the nexus. The nexus is a vertical beam of white light, if you look around the map you'll see the nexus as a white pyramid or dot, when you are far away. Once you get the points for hanging the flags in the nexus, you can't lose those points. If you have a bunch of flags, like eight or more and someone kills you, you lose all those flags and someone will take your lost flags and try to hang them to get the points. So there's usually a good fight around the nexus.

there use to be a way of talking on tribes
it was a button lay out where you would use preprogrammed phrases
that was only in a ds room
and you had to know the code to even do it
there was a lot of phrases and cooL shit you could say
there's too many cooL things about tribes i could say
another one of the coolest things on tribes is that people use to host games with in a game
like racing grav bikes on a ctf map, there was a start and a finish line and everyone lined up and raced
