Choices,choices
I just want to get some opinions on some good games, especially in the RPG genre. The selection is huge there, so I'm trying to weed out the not so good. I've got my eye on Valkryie: Profile slimeria and I've heard good things about the persona series. Any opinions on these or others?

Re: Choices,choices
The RPG genre is one that I have no expertise on as I've played barely any games of that type. If you are looking for games in other genres as well I could be of more help.

Re: Choices,choices
For the FPS genre, I would say Area 51, Cold Winter and Call of Duty 2 have solid campaigns and good online multiplayer. Also, Medal of Honour: Frontline and Rising Sun are great. Timesplitters 2 and 3 also seem to have good reviews and renown.

Area 51 is the best... Got it for £1.50 (around 2.50 dollars and 1.90 euros)

I own COD2. I could get cold winter for 5 bucks and TSFP is proving impossible to find unless I drive 50 miles away to get it. Area 51 is very hard to find also. Are there still people playing COD2 and cold winter online a lot?

Cold Winter is dead and the only way to get a match is to schedule one on this site. COD2 has a good amount of people and you will most likely find a good game.

Good, I'll save the money from buying cold winter then. I did find Area 51 for 8 dollars. yay! Buying rogue galaxy also and still have to get a component cable to make it look decent on my HD

I haven't played Valkyrie Profile: Slimeria, but I've heard good things. I believe it's one of the few PS2 games that also supports 1080i.Faintestidea wrote:I've got my eye on Valkryie: Profile slimeria and I've heard good things about the persona series. Any opinions on these or others?
The Persona games are also very good. I've had both P3 and P4 for a long time, but haven't played them yet. The games are a nice mix of dungeon crawling, monster collection and developing relationships with your team. Any of the Shin Megami Tensei games on PS2 are worthwhile purchases.

Re: Choices,choices
I got Area 51 ordered and ended up buying FFXII CE for 10 bucks. I want the Persona series but those games are 25 bucks and above. So that will be a while
