A small amount of online PS2 games are actually compatible with USB ethernet adapters, such as SOCOM: US Navy Seals and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. The following product is a USB ethernet adapter that's specifically designed for use with the PS2, and the front of the box lists some of the games that work with it: http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-2-Go- ... grid_i_2_0 . But even if you are only interested in those few games, and want to save money by buying a cheaper USB adapter, it is possible that those games' on-disc drivers don't support the chipset of the particular USB ethernet adapter that you are looking at. So either way, you're probably better off buying an official PS2 network adapter.
