Ah yes, but the back of that same cover features the disclaimer, "EA May Retire Online Freatures after 30 days notice posted on battlefield.ea.com." Additionally, it is possible for companies to request for Sony to disable DNAS authentication for specific games. According to Mytho, that's what happened to NHL Hitz Pro. I asked him what error code showed up when he tried to connect to the game's online mode, but he had forgotten. Mytho, could you try to connect again, and relay the message to us?FreddY wrote:...As for the PS2 version, it is very unlikely that it will be shut down along with the 360 version. The BF2:MC PS2 online servers are maintained by GameSpy, as seen on the back of the game ("Powered by GameSpy"). This is very unique for an EA online game...

Happened to NFL Blitz Pro too with the DNAS. I bet the servers are still up though. Oddly enough Blitz the League I think is still online. It basically means that someone told them to shut the DNAS server down. There are other gamespy games that have already been terminated.

It sounds like whatever method was used to shut Blitz Pro down is the same as the one used for Hitz Pro.
I don't have the game here right now, but I can check it when I'm at home (provided I remember!).

It looks like FreddY already found the DNAS code for us, (he posted it in the Gamespy status thread.) "DNAS Error (-103) This software title is not in service." That's the code that is displayed when one tries to play NHL Hitz Pro online.

Yes it is still online. I just checked (at 4 am central time) and there are 21 people playing and i joined a game. There are loads more people that play during the day and on weekends. Everything still works (matchmaking, punkbuster, leaderboards, clans, medals, ect.). EA told Gamespy to shut this game down years ago but Gamespy left the master servers up because lots of people still played. EA stoppped account support for it though (which sucks).thebadassdude wrote:So can anybody confirm that bfmc still has online
update-I checked Bobz Gamespy status today and there is still 60 players.
