Hi everybody !
I wanted to share this experience I made.
I bought some parts in order to change my Ps2 IDE HDD by something more up to date, and which could also save some power supply energy.
So I decided to replace my HDD by a SD card.
For this, I bought a 3.5" to 2.5" IDE adapter, then a 2.5" IDE to SD card adapter. And a 64Go SD Card.
I installed everything a few hours ago inside my Fat PS2, installed some games and it's working!
Switching from HDD to SD card!

Re: Switching from HDD to SD card!
Interesting. Makes me want to get an early model slim which still had the ide pinouts and do it in the case. That way you get all the benefits of the slim while you can still play off an hdd. How where the load times?

Awesome Hunk91 ,
Justly I just see a video on this topic and it's very interesting.
I am also interested in loading times?

Re: Switching from HDD to SD card!
Thanks guys!
Loading time are very good!
Before I used an old 20GB at 5400 rpm. It was faster than Playing with Dvd. And now it seems to be faster than before. I need to compare with a 7200 rpm HDD.
I didn't know about the early slim models and their Ide port! That would be the best way to play!
