Midnight Club 3 is still online, but mostly empty, most people use it as a chat room, so you'd have to set up a time.

I've also heard the flatouts are still up. There are probably more gamespy based games too.....

BF2MC and SWBF2 are still popular as hell online, but you need DNS hacks for them. CoD 1 + 2 still have a FEW people left, and there might be more with regulars too, but I don't own that many PS2 online games....... SOCOM's getting shutdown but it still has people, if that community moves to Kai lik...

You can use the map packs on any console. The update only can be use on the console you downloaded it on. If you don't got the update on your console you won't be able to play the map packs. Sorry about my doubt, but how I do this update for my console this update is in game? I save in memory card?...

To my knowledge, Midnight Club II is the only Gamespy game that connects to Gamespy and Gamespy only THPS3 has no DNAS and that uses gamespy. I have a feeling by the end of the year all we will still have online for ps2 is bf2, thps, swbf2 (maybe), all kai games, and some other smaller games. No sports games, no socom obviously, and idk if cod will even make it till the end of the year. it probably will though because Activison suprising...

It's not as strange when you consider it's also crossplat with PC and 360, and is still bringing in money on at least both those.

The PS2 probably has a higher install base of Japanese players, which is why they are continuing to patch it on PS2 and give it that expansion. For all you know it might even come to US PS2 as a DL or something idk.
