Checking In
Hi, all! I hope all is well. I've been off the radar for a while. I'm thinking about getting back into PS2 gaming. Did they ever update XLink Kai to work with the PS2 or are you guys still using the older version? Anybody playing the Star Wars Battlefront games anymore?

Re: Heroes of the Pacific
Right, once DNAS times out it will work, but you have to wait a while for it to try to connect to DNAS.

Re: Heroes of the Pacific
This is kind of a fun game. I understand it gets better once you unlock some of the cooler planes, the jets and whatnot. One strange thing: most, if not all, games use DNAS when playing on the Internet. This one connects to DNAS even when you're in LAN mode. My game LAN isn't connected to the Intern...

Re: I Officially Hate Xlink Kai
I feel you're pain after doing everything i have for the last year, it turns out my problem isn't a network or adapter or router/connection issue its a Norton firewall issue. Turned off the firewall and everything connected. Even with full access for that program I guess the firewall still blocks m...

Re: 2 routers
Well, if you're taking advice, having nested routers like that will muddy the waters. Everything should be able to connect to the Internet, but your devices won't be able to communicate with one another. I'd use one router and your switch to give you enough ports. If you have security concerns with ...

Re: 2 routers
I'm trying to wrap my head around your configuration. Why are you using two routers? Do you have it set up like modem->router->router? One router should be sufficient for most applications, and be less complex.

One XLink Kai should be able to handle many consoles with no problem.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront Status
Well. I hate to deliver bad news, but I did a comparison between my SWB patch and my friend's. I was hoping that the difference would be some small thing that could be changed so that the patch could be updated for other consoles. The main piece of this patch is a 1.8 Megabyte file named "SLUS_208.9...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront Status
I just copied the contents of the patch onto a USB stick, so it wouldn't likely work for you if I uploaded it. Do you know of a good way to offload it and still preserve that magical quality that makes a group of files a memcard save? There used to be a program called ulaunchelf that had a special c...

Re: List of PS2 games with a network setup utility
SWB2 is a great game, both online and off.
I used my network setup discs to create some network profiles recently and it worked fine. It does need to be connected to the Internet, though, because it uses DNAS.
